GART FIELD DAY 2009

This year’s open GART Field Day was held on 19th March, 2009 under the theme: “Agricultural Technologies as a Vital Tool for improved farmer incomes, improved food security and nutrition and as part of a comprehensive National response to HIV/AIDS”.

Many hundreds of farmers, agricultural workers, students and others flocked to the GART Research Farm in Chisamba to see for themselves the many research trials, demonstations and stands of the agricultural service providers that were put up for the day. It was very encouraging to note that the rain that poured down once in a while could not dampen their interest and enthusiasm. The field day was truly a great success.
